Speedmate Recognized for Unrivaled Competitiveness with 23 Consecutive Years as No. 1 in K-BPI Automotive Maintenance Sector
- Adoption of German DAT’s AI Solution and Expansion of ‘Starlight Maintenance’ Prove Speedmate’s Leading Brand Competitiveness
- Leading the industry through AI data capabilities.
Speedmate, the comprehensive automotive service brand of SK Speedmate (CEO: Moo-In Ahn), has once again demonstrated its unrivaled competitiveness by securing the top spot in the 2025 Korea Brand Power Index (K-BPI) for the 23rd consecutive year. The K-BPI is a nationally recognized evaluation of brand strength across various industries in Korea, conducted by the Korea Management Association Consulting (KMAC). Speedmate provides a full range of vehicle management services, including light maintenance, emergency roadside assistance (ERS), tire services, and the distribution of imported car parts. With over 580 service centers nationwide, the brand has consistently earned the trust of customers and has become a valued mobility partner. In September 2024, the company was spun off from SK Networks to form an independent corporation, SK Speedmate, accelerating business innovation and paving the way for its transformation into a data-driven AI company. As a first step in its AI integration journey, Speedmate has adopted advanced solutions from DAT, a German automotive data company, including an AI-based automatic damage estimation system. These tools have enhanced the functionality of “Huckleberry Pro,” Speedmate’s integrated platform for imported vehicles, expanding service coverage from general maintenance to major collision repairs. To further boost its industry-leading competitiveness, Speedmate is also developing new customer-centric services. One such initiative is the expansion of the “Starlight Maintenance” program, which began as a pilot in the metropolitan area and will now be rolled out nationwide. This service addresses the needs of working professionals by offering vehicle maintenance until 10 p.m. on weekdays. In addition, Speedmate is in the process of extending its imported vehicle membership program to cover all models, making it more accessible to customers whose manufacturer warranties have expired. Looking ahead, Speedmate plans to continue offering innovative services like Starlight Maintenance while advancing its transformation into an AI-powered data company. By applying AI to its vast repository of maintenance data accumulated over nearly three decades, the company aims to further improve efficiency and strengthen its business competitiveness. An SK Speedmate representative stated, “Being awarded the No. 1 ranking in K-BPI for 23 consecutive years is a testament to our commitment to customer satisfaction. We will continue to lead the automotive service industry and drive future growth by advancing our capabilities as an AI data-driven company.”
