SK Speedmate is stepping up its efforts to support the heroes who help keep Korean society safe in recognition of Korea’s Patriots and Veterans Month.

SK Speedmate announced on June 1 that it will launch both the “HeroMate” vehicle maintenance support program for firefighters and families of fallen firefighters, as well as the “Good Maintenance Sharing Project,” which provides maintenance support for aging vehicles operated by social welfare organizations. HeroMate has been running since 2024, while the Good Maintenance Sharing Project has continued annually since 2022. Through these initiatives, SK Speedmate aims to create social value by supporting firefighters dedicated to public safety and organizations working to enhance community welfare.

The HeroMate program was developed in partnership with the National Fire Agency to recognize and honor the dedication of firefighters who have devoted themselves to protecting public safety. The program provides families of fallen firefighters with benefits including:

• Free engine oil replacement

• 50% discounts on air conditioner refrigerant service and cabin air filters

• 30% discounts on Speedmate-exclusive tires, brake pads, and brake oil

Active-duty firefighters are also eligible for comparable maintenance benefits. Families of fallen firefighters can make reservations through the Speedmate Customer Service Center before visiting a participating service center, while active firefighters can receive benefits by presenting maintenance coupons available through the Hero mobile application.

In addition, SK Speedmate is collaborating with the Seoul Council on Social Welfare to operate the Good Maintenance Sharing Project. First launched in 2022 as a corporate social responsibility initiative, the program was designed to promote safer transportation by supporting vehicle maintenance for social welfare facilities.

Through advance registration on a first-come, first-served basis, the program will provide discounts on essential vehicle consumables, including engine oil, batteries, and tires, for up to 100 vehicles each month through December. Participating organizations can obtain service coupons through the customer service center and schedule maintenance appointments online at one of 33 designated Speedmate service centers across the Seoul metropolitan area.

Alongside customer-focused services such as “Starlight Maintenance,” which offers extended evening service hours, SK Speedmate plans to continue expanding initiatives like these to contribute to society and further strengthen its reputation as a trusted company.

As the summer heat approaches, “Starlight Maintenance” is back.

Speedmate, the automotive maintenance brand of SK Speedmate, announced on May 26 that it will offer its “Starlight Maintenance” service at approximately 120 service centers nationwide. Under the program, participating locations will remain open until 10:00 p.m. every Tuesday, helping customers prepare their vehicles for the busy summer vacation season and extreme heat.

Following strong customer response to last year’s program, Speedmate has expanded the number of participating locations this year. As a result, customers, particularly office workers, can have their vehicles serviced without taking time off during weekdays or sacrificing valuable weekend leisure time.

Customers wishing to use the Starlight Maintenance service can make a reservation through the Speedmate website up to two days before their preferred service date. The service includes replacement of essential vehicle consumables such as engine oil, tires, and batteries.

During the promotional period, customers using the Starlight Maintenance service will receive complimentary windshield washer fluid. In addition, customers who share their service experience on social media will be eligible to receive an engine oil replacement voucher (subject to conditions available on the company website).

SK Speedmate announced on the 7th that it held a grand opening ceremony at the Dongtan Neungdong location, the first flagship store of ZIC TECH. ZIC TECH is a brand that provides specialized maintenance services for imported vehicles by combining SK Speedmate's accumulated expertise in import car servicing, parts distribution competitiveness, and maintenance business know-how with the premium lubricant brand value of SK enmove's 'ZIC.' The two companies have been preparing for the store opening since signing a business agreement last November.

ZIC TECH will carry out import vehicle maintenance based on SK Speedmate's outstanding repair and franchise operation capabilities, and plans to offer SK Enmove's ZIC lubricants — which have obtained the latest official certifications from import car manufacturers including those in Germany — to customers at reasonable prices. In addition, the brand has established a system to smoothly supply necessary import car parts to customers through partnerships with companies such as Mann+Hummel and Bosch Korea, which supply parts to global automakers. As a brand specializing in import vehicle maintenance, ZIC TECH also plans to strengthen its competitiveness in standardized service quality by providing technical support and employee training.

Currently in Korea, the number of imported vehicles continues to grow, while the infrastructure for import car maintenance remains relatively insufficient and service reliability is a concern. In particular, for imported vehicles whose warranty period has expired, it is difficult to find maintenance services as trustworthy as official service centers at reasonable prices. In this environment, ZIC TECH is expected to become a reliable option for import car owners seeking safe and dependable vehicle maintenance.

SK Speedmate plans to first open and operate ZIC TECH stores in Dongtan Neungdong, Ilsan, Gimpo, and Gunpo, before expanding the network to 30 locations nationwide by the end of the year.

SK Speedmate, the automotive maintenance service subsidiary of SK Networks, is launching a preventive vehicle maintenance and safety inspection service in partnership with an insurance company.

SK Speedmate announced on the 23rd that it will launch a vehicle preventive maintenance and safety inspection campaign service for customers enrolled in automobile insurance with AXA Direct Korea.

Through the AXA insurance app, customers can apply for a safety inspection and visit a Speedmate service center, where five key components — engine oil, battery, tires, brakes, and air conditioner filter

— will be inspected. Customers will then receive the diagnostic results in a mobile report.

The service, which is being offered in cooperation with AXA Direct Korea at approximately 570 Speedmate locations nationwide, goes beyond traditional vehicle inspections that simply notify customers of abnormalities. It also provides comprehensive maintenance scores based on diagnostic results directly related to vehicle safety. In addition, features such as notifications for expected maintenance timing based on each customer’s vehicle usage patterns enable long-term and continuous vehicle condition management. While conventional maintenance services have focused on repairs after vehicle breakdowns or accidents, this new service is designed to help prevent vehicle failures by guiding customers on maintenance schedules based on their inspection results.

To commemorate the launch of the vehicle preventive maintenance and safety inspection campaign service, SK Speedmate will offer a KRW 30,000 discount on engine oil services through June 30 to customers who have agreed to receive text messages from AXA Direct Korea.
